About Amstaz
Amstaz is a curated marketplace for personal care products, built around one simple promise: everything listed here has been screened for harmful and banned ingredients first.
Why we exist
Personal care shelves in India are full of products containing ingredients that many shoppers would avoid if the label were easier to read — from harsh sulfates and parabens to ingredients restricted or banned elsewhere. Most marketplaces list everything and leave the label-reading to you. We do the opposite: we read first, then list.
How our screening works
1. Ingredient review. Before any product is listed, we manually review its full ingredient list against publicly available ingredient safety information and lists of banned or restricted substances.
2. Visible ingredients. Products on Amstaz show their ingredients openly, so you always know what you're applying.
3. The Amstaz Verified badge. Products that pass our screening carry the badge — our way of saying we checked before you had to.
We're honest about what this is: careful screening against public safety information — not a laboratory test or a medical guarantee. If you have allergies or medical conditions, always check the label and consult a professional.
Who's behind Amstaz
Amstaz was founded by Priyabrata Chowdhury and operates from Durgapur, West Bengal, India. It's an independent, founder-run business — every brand application and every product listing is reviewed personally.
For brands
If you make clean, honest personal care products, we'd love to hear from you. Apply through our Sell on Amstaz page — you'll need to share your product's full ingredient list, and listing is subject to screening.
